The 16th ACI EUROPE Awards 2020
The ACI EUROPE Awards recognise excellence and achievement across a whole range of disciplines including the Best Airport Awards (in size category), the HR Excellence Award, the Eco-Innovation Award and the Accessible Airport Award in association with the European Disability Forum. In addition, we are launching a brand new awards category - the Digital Transformation Award, an initiative of SESAR Joint Undertaking, in collaboration with ACI EUROPE.
The award entries will be assessed by a panel of expert judges and key institutional stakeholders. Winners will be announced during the Best Airport Awards Ceremony, which will take place virtually, as part of the ACI EUROPE Annual Assembly & Congress VIRTUAL Event.
The Best Airport Awards
The ACI EUROPE Best Airport Awards are presented to airports for excellence and achievement across a whole range of disciplines including:
- Retail
- Community Relations
- Facilities
- Customer Service/Passenger & Airlines
- Security
- Environmental Awareness
- Operations
The Eco-Innovation Award
The 10th ACI EUROPE Eco-Innovation Awards, in association with Airport Carbon Accreditation, will be presented to the airport that has demonstrated outstanding environmental performance and an innovative approach to environmental management.
The HR Excellence Award
The ACI EUROPE HR Excellence Award was created in 2017. The ACI EUROPE Leadership and Human Resources Forum, established in 2013, wishes to recognise a HR department who have demonstrated excellent leadership and human resources management among the ACI EUROPE Regular Members.
The objective of this annual award is to give exposure to excellence that will help the airport community better assess and implement the new procedures and skills needed to develop the industry’s workforce, looking at the various challenges facing HR Directors and airport leaders, such as mobility, succession planning, training, wellbeing and digitalization. Recognising that the HR management is increasingly involved in the strategic development of an airport, and contributes to the social and economic fabric of the airport community.
The Accessible Airport Award
The Accessible Airport Award in association with the European Disability Forum will return again this year. This award is the perfect opportunity to showcase your airport’s good practice examples and get recognition for the work that has already been done, while encouraging other airports to do the same.
Digital Transformation Award
The Digital Transformation Award, an initiative of the SESAR Joint Undertaking in collaboration with ACI EUROPE, will recognise a European airport that has embraced digitalisation, adopting innovative technologies and procedures to improve the safety, capacity, efficiency and environmental footprint of its airside operations.
